Chitra is cultivated all over India. Because of the colour, there are two species of painters, the red and the white painters. Improve digestion: Make a paste by mixing Sindhav salt, myrobalan, Lindi black pepper and Chitra in equal quantities. Taking half to one gram with warm water in the morning and evening improves digestion and is beneficial in indigestion, indigestion and agnimadha. Mixing equal quantity of Chitrak's root and Nagarmotha's powder and making the powder removes digestive defects and increases digestive power and also removes colic.
Indigestion: Make a paste by mixing Chitrak's root, bitter gourd, dry ginger, black pepper and Sindhav salt in equal quantity. Consuming half to one gram of this powder with buttermilk cures indigestion. It removes indigestion and increases digestive power.
Diarrhea: Diarrhea and constipation are cured by taking half gram root of chitrak with buttermilk and warm water thrice a day. It cures diarrhea as it is useful in all diseases of the stomach.
Diseases of liver and spleen: Take Chitrak, tamarind salt, roasted asafoetida, yam salt and 500 grams of salt in equal quantity and mix lemon. Consuming half to one gram of it twice a day is beneficial in spleen enlargement and liver diseases.
Jaundice: Drinking the root of chitrak mixed with half gram curd water cures jaundice. Drinking it with buttermilk as a remedy is also very beneficial. In this therapy, it destroys the germs of jaundice.
Dysentery: Make a paste by taking Chitrak, Biligiri and Suntha in equal quantity. Eating half to one gram marmalade of beeli fruit with sugar in the morning and evening is beneficial. This is a home remedy for dysentery.
Collection: Boil Chitrak decoction or 5 grams Chitrak Churna in 200 ml water and cool it by hand when 100 ml water remains. Mixing 5 to 10 grams of cow's ghee in this decoction and consuming it once in the morning is beneficial in storage. Mixing the powder of Chitrak's root with half gram honey and ginger juice and licking it morning and evening provides relief in new cold and cough.
Elephant's foot: Mixing equal quantity of Chitrak's root and pine tree, making powder and mixing it with cow's urine, applying it externally on elephant's foot is beneficial. To get rid of elephant foot, elephant foot is cured by mixing the bark of Chitrak's root, pine wood, mustard or saffron tree with cow's urine and applying it hot.
Fever: Mixing half gram chitrak's root powder and one gram trikatu powder with cinnamon, black pepper, peepal and hot water and drinking it ends fever with sweating. When blood circulation slows down in fever, if the patient does not eat grains, then chewing small pieces of Chitra's root is beneficial.
Migraine: Make a fine powder by taking 10 grams each of Chitrak, Pushkar's root and dry ginger. Taking this powder with about 1 gram sugar candy in the morning and evening cures half of the headache. This treatment begins in the morning at sunrise and the onset of a headache, known as a migraine.
Gout: Grind Chitrak's root, Indian gooseberry, tamarind, peepal, rhubarb and black salt in equal quantities. Taking 2 grams of this with warm water while sleeping at night is beneficial in gout, gout and arthritis. Mixing Chitrak's root with warm water and applying it on the joints provides relief in joint pain due to old age.
Heartburn: For chest pain, boil 2 grams chitrak's root, 6 grams trichoto powder dry ginger, black pepper, peepal and 2 grams mint root in 200 ml water and boil on low flame. Heat up to 100 ml. After this, drinking it once or twice provides relief in heartburn.
Harsansa: Grind the root of Chitraka in water and coat it in an earthen pot. Making curd of milk in this earthen pot, after churning the curd, taking out the butter and drinking the boiled curd is beneficial in Harsamsa. Taking 2 grams powder of Chitrak's root bark with buttermilk twice a day provides relief in rheumatism.
Leprosy: Taking one gram powder of red chitrak root with Mahamanjishthadi Kavath in the morning and evening is beneficial. Consuming 1 gram powder of Chitrak's bark regularly for one year provides relief in gout. Mixing the powder of Chitrakam with cow's urine and applying it is beneficial in white leprosy, white spots on the skin. If burn marks are observed after lapping, stop lapping immediately. And apply coconut oil. New skin comes in this place and white spots disappear.
Raw Lump: When a raw lump or raw lump is seen outside the body, if there is pain, grind the root of chitra and mix it in hot water and tie it on the lump. Due to this, cyst, lump or tumor gets cooked quickly. Because of this it cooks quickly. And then take out the pus from it and clean it there itself. After this, taking Sindhav salt from Chitrak's bark and mixing it in buttermilk, making a bag and tying it on the wound heals quickly.
Throat: Taking one gram each of caraway, turmeric, amla, yavkshar and chitrak powder and licking it three times a day with honey and ghee or one part honey and half ghee cures throat disease quickly. With this remedy, if the voice of the throat is closed, then it opens.
